Group Emotional Coaching

Group Emotional Coaching

How it works
Group Emotional Coaching brings small groups of pupils together to explore feelings, build emotional awareness and develop shared strategies in a supportive, structured space. Sessions are gentle, relational and practical, helping children understand themselves and each other while building confidence in a group setting.

This offer includes:
-
Hamish & Milo - 12‑week programme, groups of up to 6 or whole‑class delivery
-
Group Drawing & Talking - 6 or 8‑week programme, groups of up to 6 or whole‑class delivery
-
Groups run for 6, 8 or 12 weeks, depending on the programme. All sessions are 1 hour.
-
Sessions take place weekly in school and follow a predictable rhythm to help pupils feel safe and ready to participate. Activities include emotional coaching tools, reflective prompts, creative elements and structured discussion. Children learn from each other, practise emotional language and explore strategies they can use across the school day and at home.
Who benefits?
Group Emotional Coaching is ideal for pupils who:
-
would benefit from practising emotional skills alongside peers
-
need support with friendships, confidence or social communication
-
are ready for group participation but still need gentle, supported structure
-
find transitions, unstructured times or peer interactions challenging
-
would benefit from seeing that others feel the same way they do
-
Hamish & Milo whole‑class delivery supports calmer, more connected classrooms by helping pupils understand each other better and build shared emotional language, which is especially helpful when class dynamics feel unsettled.
-
Group and class Drawing & Talking helps pupils develop relational safety and emotional confidence in a gentle, supported environment. It provides a valuable first step for children who may need 1:1 therapeutic support in the future but require a softer, less intense introduction to emotional exploration.
